Each Costa d'Oro oil supplier must sign the 10 points of the "OIL SUPPLIER'S CHARTER," where they adhere to the agreed upon good agricultural practices. Costa d'Oro conducts spot checks in the field, at the oil mill and in the storage warehouses to verify effective adherence.

1. ONLY OLIVES FROM THE MEDITERRANEAN
Only use olives harvested in the Mediterranean basin to ensure traceability from supplier to batch of extra virgin olive oil.

2. SAFE PURCHASE OF OLIVES
Buy from manufacturers who use plant protection products that meet current European and local regulations.

3. RESPECTFUL HARVESTING
Harvest only perfectly healthy olives according to good traditional, environmentally friendly harvesting practices.

4. EXTRACTION WITHIN 24H
Extract the extra virgin olive oil as quickly as possible, ideally with a maximum target of 24 hours between the arrival of the olives at the mill and the extraction of the oil.

5. COLD PRESSING
Cold extraction of extra virgin olive oil (<27°C) to preserve all its aromas and nutritional qualities.

6. EVO OIL ONLY
Create blends with ONLY extra virgin olive oils.

7. OIL SHIPPING
When shipping oil from the mill, use only tanks dedicated to the transport of clean foodstuff liquids according to Costa d'Oro procedures, whereby the tank must be suitable for loading with a washing certificate and the goods transported in the previous 4 trips must be indicated.

8. PRODUCT CONTROL
Implement a risk analysis at every stage to control the food safety of extra virgin olive oil.

The mill strives to manage the production environment so as not to contaminate the olives and oils with chemicals.

Adhere to the AVRIL milis' code of conduct, in the appendix that can be viewed on the site, as well as the Costa d'Oro quality policy.
