Le Olivastre

Olivastre was born in 2014 on the initiative of three women who decided to reclaim a centuries- old olive grove, left untended on the hills of Lake Trasimeno in Umbria. The idea quickly turned into a larger project: challenging neglect and transforming the fallow through the culture of recovery.

As part of Planet O-live’s olive-growing sector enhancement program, Costa d’Oro is collaborating with Olivastre to support those who challenge neglect and abandonment and more generally to raise awareness of the phenomenon of olive grove abandonment and work proactively on recovery practices.
